Up for your consideration is a beautiful 1939 Singer hand crank sewing machine. The serial number is EB994165 and according to Singer's website is one of 13,571 built of this model. Manufacturing date was 1-31-1939. This machine is in the original oak coffin-style cabinet with the original key and is in exceptionally nice condition. It sews very nicely and it is obvious the machine has been well cared for and gently used. The bobbin slide plate is original as is the cover on the attachment well.Included are all the attachments in the original black metal box with dark purple velvet lining. Also included is the original Instruction manual, a booklet on "Darning - the Singer Way" and a product booklet titled "W Singer Sewing Machines are made at Clydebank-Scotland". T are no chips or dents in the enamel and the gold decals are perfect except on the back, the "Singer" shows a little wear. This is a quiet little sewer and my 5 year old grandson is going to miss being able to "help" me sew by turning the crank. We have made several items on this machine, including his Thomas the Train "blankie". I will ship this machine and the wood cabinet in 2 boxes because I want to make sure the cabinet does not get damaged in transit. If you live in the vicinity, you are welcome to pick it up.Please ask any questions before you bid. All questions read more
