Vintage Singer Model 99K Sewing Machine - With Case Description Here for your consideration, we have a very beautiful, perfectly running, 1954 Singer Model 99K – Serial #EJ489007, which was built in the Kilbowie factory located in Clydebank, Scotland. The appearance and performance of this machine is truly exceptional. The Singer 99K machine (the K in the model name stands for “Kilbowie”) is a ¾ size head. This is the smaller portable version of its big sister - the Singer Model 66. The bed size of the 99K is just 12 inches long x 6.5 inches wide, which is similar to the Singer Model 221 Featherweight (15 inches x 7 inches) but weighs about 11 pounds more than the Model 221. Due to its smaller size, the Model 99K won’t fit in a standard size cabinet or case. This does need to be mounted in a cabinet or base in order to work correctly. The original case is included with this machine, which also contains the proper base. The factory closed in 1980. This model also has the Back Tack feature. This machine is very clean and in very nice condition for its age - no damage or problems of any kind.
