Up for auction is a trio of vintage Slingerland Fifteen inch (15") field snares in silver and blue sparkle! *** Note: Please read the entire listing, important shipping information is located at the bottom of this page! *** Two of these snares a date stamped "P 1964" the other is date stamped "P 1962". They are in used condition with some missing parts. Each drum has a vent hole, but one has an extra hole which is very small (about 1/8 " in diameter) drilled into the shell. I don't know what that hole is for. One drum is missing the snare tension dial and one is missing the screw attaching the upper portion of the snare tensioner to the shell (see pictures). The snares are as is. One set looks like the original "spring type snare, while the other two have been replaced with more modern snares. The screw type mufflers are included and look to be in good shape. Rims appear to be original and look average considering their age. As far as I can tell, the shells look to be in good shape with no visible warping or moisture damage. I can see no dents or gashes in the bearing edges.
