What you see here, I think, is a vintage Slingerland RADIO KING 14 inch snare drum BOTTOM hoop, or rim.
It is for an 8 hole 14 inch drum, only.
My guess is 1950s.
I’ve had it for over 15 years and I have not used it in that time.
If anyone can help better identify this rim, please let me know, and I’ll post it.
I did not see the drum it came from.
I have been cleaning out some parts and found this.
If you want your vintage Slingerland snare drum to have a correct bottom hoop, here is one for you.
This hoop is fairly clean, so we left any further cleaning to you.
The hoop seems to be nickel plated, but the end guard parts are chrome.
The plating is dull and needs polish, as is typical for the age of 50+ year old parts.
I put the rim up against modern flat glass,
and it had no tip or wobble,
so I believe it to still be flat.
Remember, If you have any further info, I would be happy to post it.
We safely and securely pack items, and it is ready to go.
