Vintage Smith and Corona Standard Portable Typewriter A handsome, classic vintage typewriter--L.C. Smith & Corona. Model #043-B Standard typewriter, made in the U.S.A. Black glossy finish with round keys. Circa 1930s. Emerging from the depths of the Depression the company launched a line of new portables, and introduced the floating shift mechanism. The machine is in very good condition-no keys stick. Of course it might need a new ribbon and some inside.dusting. The case has some wear but has done its job protecting this classic, the keys are beautiful! Because of weight, shipping will be via USPS Parcel Post $16.00, if you happen to live closer and it costs less I will refund the difference. Antique typewriters like this one are being cut up to make jewelry with the keys. This is an opportunity to preserve a beautiful machine in good working order!
