VINTAGE Solid Silver ENAMEL BOX 1935 Hallmarked NORWAY NR Stunning Enamel Decoration to Sides & Lid - 2 1/2 troy This is a stunning VINTAGE solid sterling silver box or locket which was made, probably in Norway in about 1935. It measures almost 2 1/2" in diameter by almost 3/4" tall. It is very substantial - it weighs 80.6 grams - well over 2 1/2 troy oz. It is superbly decorated with enamel violet decoration to the lid and sides, the inside is beautifully gilded and is not engraved. The workmanship is stunning - the lid is still a good fit but with damage to the hinge - as you can see from the photographs. It is in very good condition - as, other than the usual light surface scratching, it has NO dings or dents to the rear but with a little damage to the enamel - SUPER. It is hallmarked to the base with a flower symbol 935 and FBE. I have shown the hallmark so that you can make up your own mind. A VERY RARE LARGE ENAMEL PIECE AFTER 75 YEARS!!!! Postage will be 4.50GBP both within the UK and to international destinations. Please note that the primary postage costs are for second class (or standard parcels service if the postage cost is over 6.00GBP) within the UK or surface mail to international destinations. First class post usually adds 50% to the quoted postage cost while airmail is typically double the cost of surface mail.
