Vintage Delft Porcelain and Silver Brooch On offer we have this beautiful example of a Delft porcelain brooch set into silver. The distinctive blue and white porcelain panel is decorated with a Dutch scene including a windmill and house. The glazed panel is set into a silver, open-backed setting with rope design detailing. On the back you can see ‘Delft Holland’. There is also a stamp on the side of the c-clasp fastening which could possibly read ‘GBS’ which could signify sterling silver or perhaps a makers mark? The silver metal of the brooch has tested positive for silver. The brooch measures 1.9cm square and weighs 3.1g. It is in very good vintage condition and fastens with a hinged pin and c-clasp.
