What's new at Boulevard Buy and Sell? Check this out: Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage Solingen German Stag Horn 4 Piece Carving Set. This set dates back to the 1940's-1960's era and is in great condition. All of the blades and stainless steel on each piece is still very bright and shiny. Each handle is made from European stag horn and they all have great color and texture to them. Each piece really feels great in the hand, as they were individually balanced during the tooling process. This is where you can truly feel the quality of German handmade craftsmanship. The carving knife is deep color etched with very vibrant colors, measures 13" overall, and is marked Solingen Rostfrei. The blade edge of this knife does have some resharpening marks. The serving fork measures 11-1/2 overall, and is marked Rostfrei. The sharpening steel measures 12". The shears measure 11" and I really appreciate the tension spring between the shearing blades as they deliver a very smooth shearing action. The set comes in its original satin lined case which has done an admirable job of protecting the cutlery for over half a century. But look carefully at our pics of the case as there are numerous cracks, splitting and tears in the paper decorated exterior. This is a fine example of old-world Solingen German hand made cutlery.
