Staffordshire Hunter Figurine Description: 's a wonderful Staffordshire bone china figurine of a hunter on horseback with two dogs, chasing a deer! I'm not sure of the age, the clothing style of the hunter and the subject matter (the hunt) is typically Victorian, but of course molds were tyipcally used for many years so this could have ben made anytime from the 1880s through the 1920s. T is a Staffordshire mark on the base but I can't fully read it; the top line says "Staffordshire" but the bottom line is indistinct -- and several English china companies including Adams marked their wares "Staffordshire." But regardless of the company or original, it's a lovely piece of English art china and it shows great movement and flow!
