Up for auction is a nice, vintage Rehwappen, hunting, knife. Rehwappen was a brand name used by the Carl Linder Company. The knife is in used condition. It was made in Solingen, Germany. The knife blade is "rostrei" or Stainless Steel. The stag looks nice with a carved stag deer that wraps around the handle. The photos could not do it justice and I could not catch how beautiful the carving is because of how it wraps around the handle. Nothing is loose on the knife.Linder Knives was founded in the 19th century. During World War II, most of the Linder workers were drafted to the army or they had to work in the arms industry. The factory was bombed in 1944 and production was completely down for almost a decade. In 1949 the company reopened and is still in business today. Linder is known for their high quality and their Rehwappen brand has been around since the 50's.The knife is around 9" long with a blade that is nearly 5". A brand new, handmade custom sheath comes with the knife. I made this sheath specifically for this knife so if fits it perfectly.Please see the photos for best description.
