100% vintage original social flag of communistic regime of Stalin and Lenin era belonged to 1943 year. The flag was originally granted to Georgian railway industrial institute for their assiduous and robust work during Stalingrad battle at the end of 1942 and beginning of 1943 years. The flag had been stored in a private possession for a long time before was acquired in an auction in 1990 upon falling of the USSR apart. The flag is double sided and made of black velvet, extremely expansive and rare material already at those times and no longer manufactured at the present. In the central portrait the images of Stalin and Lenin were usually depicted together as a symbol of USSR communistic regime shortly after Josef Stalin came to the power at the end of 1920s. The portrait is painted and the paint exposes scared losses due to time, which would be quite expectable for a portrait of 70 years old. Also, the central portrait was once sewed around to the flag some time ago. The insignia says: "Under the banner of Stalin-Lenin, towards to defeat the German invaders" - an oath of Russian soldiers during the World War II. The letters are made of rubber material and survived through time in a perfect condition. VERY RARE item with Stalin-Lenin portrait! Do not miss an opportunity to bring this great piece of WII history in your own collection.
