Stanley No.18 Block Plane w/Knuckle Joint Lever Cap This is the 6" long, 1-3/4" wide cutter, block plane Stanley manufactured from 1888-1950. Except for the knuckle cap, this plane is identical to a Stanley No.9-1/2. The plane body is in good condition with no cracks or chips and about 90% of the Japanned black finish remaining. The throat adjustment works smoothly. The blade depth and lateral adjustment mechanism is in good condition and works as it should. The blade has a nice patina. The cap and knuckle joint hold-down are also in good condition with about 60% nickel plating remaining. Add this very nice plane to your Stanley collection or put it back to work. Good luck bidding. We will be happy to combine shipping.
