This vintage Stanley Bailey #4 smooth plane is in very nice condition, All metal castings and throat are nice, no cracks, breaks, chips or repairs. Hardwood handles are nice no splits, cracks or repairs. This plane has the frog adjustment screw and all adjustments work smoothly. Black jappaning finish is great over 90% This is the popular #4 size with a 2 inch blade. Plane is probably 60- or so years old. Would make someone an excellent user or collector. Blade has Stanley notched Logo, made in USA and is nearly full length and has been freshly sharpened.
