Vintage Steam Boat 30" Inch Ship Pond Sailing Big Engine Remote Control Built Model. A neat vintage model needing your steam engine and RC equipment to be installed then is ready for the water. Condition is Very Good. Has propeller ready to attach to your steam engine and RC controls. 30" inch long boat comes with plans to help you install your own steam engine and your own RC controls. Fully built from the included 12 page Assembly and Driving Instructions Manual plus includes four full size blueprint style schematics (33" inches by 23" inches each). This is the Aster Hobby Company 1/41 scale model ocean tug boat "Perseverance" likely from the 1950s - 1960s. The plans show a three piston maritime steam engine installed which was optional and is not included. This auction is for the built model, extra parts, some parts needing TLC, and the plans. Some parts may be missing but it looks quite complete. Pilot house lifts off to access large compartment and install your motor. All buildings can be removed to access the below deck area to install your servos, linkage, control, and power. Metal Hull is made of Super Plastic ZINC ALLOY formed by a pressing process Aster Models used. Decks are wooden, the bells are metal, the buildings are metal, plastic and wood, white and brass hatch covers are metal. Masts are wood and will be shipped rigged as shown but down. You will need to spend about a minute raising the masts. Wooden deck shows slight age and use wear. Paint shows usage wear. T are some pieces that are broken and these are shown in the photos. One life boat is broken, one is intact. T is a piece of damaged wood and t You could make or find new ones. Also, some new extra parts are included Ropes are rope. T is a neat brass and steel anchor winch, anchor is missing, and steam smoke stack is thick metal and its guy lines are wire. This is a built vintage Aster Hobby model, with some damage to a few of the small pieces as shown in photos. She's got "Perseverance" stencillled on both sides of the bow. Lots of neat features. Comes with assembly instruction booklet and four large blueprint style schematcs (also pictured below). The plans include how to install a big nautical steam engine and mention installing RC as well.
