Hi Welcome! For auction is this beautiful vintage STEINBACH Music Box from Germany. It is an unique art work, hand crafted from wood and hand painted. It features a Marktstand, a vendor lady selling fruits and veggies and trees in the background. 2 kids are playing or helping her to sell. It dates back to the years after 1960. The musical movement is a Swiss REUGE movement. The sound is bright and clear and it is playing very well the song "Barcarolle of Hoffmann". To wind it up, you have to turn the whole upper platform clockwise. There is a working stopper on the side. The music box is in excellent condition, the only flaw to mention is: a small crack underneath, which is only noticeable upside down and a small dent in the wood rim behind the lady. The colors are new and bright. This music box is vintage, but in beautiful condition. Do not let this beauty go, would be a wonderful addition to any Steinbach or Erzgebirge collection!
