For those of you who remember the BLIZZARD of '66, please forgive me. Though I am old enough to remember it, I was living (and still do) in Florida in 1966, so I didn't remember this STORM OF THE CENTURY and had to look it up. We, in Florida, tend to remember storms by their names, and they are hurricanes! Apparently in January 1966, the worst snowstorm since recorded weather hit Upstate New York and most of New England literally paralyzing the area for days under FEET of snow! Perhaps you lived t at the time. If so, that storm may hold some personal meaning for you. This little charm was obviously created just to commemorate that event. It's a small charm, only 1/2" long by slightly over 1/4" wide. It is a snow shovel with the raised words BLIZZARD OF '66. Next to the wording is what looks like a Bell Telephone logo, so I'm taking a leap and guessing that perhaps Bell had these charms commissioned and gave them to their workers who worked such long, hard hours restoring service during and after that storm. T may not be very many of these in existence. The back is hallmarked STERLING along with a maker's logo that I believe you can see in the photo. I am offering this charm at NO RESERVE and a low opening bid. Shipping will be $2.00 first class mail with optional insurance extra. If the item sells for more than $50. and you want read more
