This is a very beautiful vintage (1950's to 1960's c) heavy choker necklace. ALL made of sterling silver with older round raised cut medium blue sapphire stones. Older Italy made. Hallmarked: "925 (sterling). Stones total approx 3/4 ct (at approx 9 pts each). It's very well made in a heavy tough mesh flex V shaped design with beautiful raised center piece. Made of soldered bar links with very beautiful detail. Center piece is gold plated over it's sterling and well bonded with a beautiful rosy yellow gold tone hue with NO fade of it's beautiful patina. Looks more impressive than photos show. Has slide clasp with safety clip which both secure just fine. Necklace lenght (up to clasp's tongue), measures: 16 inches. Center piece measures 1 1/4 inches by 1 1/8 inches width depth of 1/4 inch. Body is 1/3 inch and 1/4 in in width with depth of 2.5 mm . It's very heavy. Weighs 33.6 grams (approx 1 troy oz). It was well kept and in excellent condition. Would make a great gift . Or, own it for your self and invest in this beautiful necklace and appreciate the compliments you'll get as it's antiquity value continues to increase even more so over time.
