Features: This is a very nice vintage (1955 up to 1967 c) heavy choker necklace . Made of sterling silver. It's an earlier Itallian crafted design, having very impressive smith workmanship in an eye catching modernist design in a hand laced wheat link cable pattern . Very well made. Has strong push slide clasp which opens and locks in shut. To open, you press on knob handle and pull back . These earlier cable designs inspired other later modernist such as John Hardy and David Yurman . You can wear with clasp facing either front or rear of neck . It's very super heavy. Weighs: 105.3 grams. It was well kept and in excellent condition. Fitting and Measurements: It's an ideal choker length of 17 1/4 inches long with main body (cable) width of well over 1/2 inch (as in 11 mm) . Hallmarks/Marks : "925 (sterling), "ITALY" , (assayed inside oval cartouche, PRE-dating 1967 rectangle cartouche of pointed side). Would make a nice gift. Or, own it yourself and invest in this impressive necklace and appreciate the compliments you'll get as its antiquity value and silver value continues to increase even more so over time.
