Beautiful antique or vintage Stieff Pewter vase. This was originally a gift, probably for retirement, given to an employee. On the front of the vase, about 2/3 of the way down, the maker attached a pewter bell w/ 2 pink/red gems mounted to it. Also mounted on top of the bell, is a gold circle w/ another bell on it. Above the gems are the words C&P Telephone, cast into the pewter bell. This is a classic shaped vase, with a spindle like bottom 1/3. Well crafted. On the bottom inner edge of the vase is the inscription "Stieff Pewter P 131". Really nice piece for either the collector of Stieff, pewter, vases, or former employee of C&P Telephone. The vase measures 7" high x almost 2" in diameter at top flared edge x 1" at the first ¼ mark of vase x 1½" at the emblem x almost ½" at narrowest part in the bottom 1/4 x almost 2½" at the bottom of base. This vase weighs 7 ounces, before packaging for shipping, but will ship at the 1 pound weight class, Priority Mail.
