From Estate in New England: Vintage & unusual, 1944 Sun-Kraft Ultra-Violet Ray Lamp / Therapy Unit in virtually "as new" and quite functional condition with original hang tags still affixed. This all stainless exterior Sun-Kraft UV Lamp measures approx. 17" high when folded on the 4" high by 8" diameter base with rubber feet. Lights up perfectly and the timer works as well. The yellow tag on one side lists this as the "Model A-1" with an original price of "$64.95" (approx. $700 in todays currency!) ... and lists the company address as: Sun-Kraft, Inc., 215-217 W. Superior St., Chicago 10, Ill." with a blurb about filling in your guarantee certificate. backside of the tag lists general specs & actual weight (15 Lbs) as well.(See Photos) Lamp has factory seven (7) foot cord. Plugged in, the timer can be turned right for up-to six (6) minutes or put on hold & timed by other means. The Model A-1 was used with goggles and acclaimed at the time for facial & hand tanning, the induction of Vitamin D production in the body, and as a general germicidal agent. The Lamp can be articulated to use at several different angles from sideways to straight down. The mercury quartz lamp inside is factory listed as "burn-out proof" as issued, and said to deliver 95% pure ultra-violet light.
