You are bidding on one lot of one older stand mixer by Sunbeam, their Mixmaster Model 3. Probably from the middle 1930s. A cream color making it a model 3a, which would have originally come with Jadite bowls. This is being sold for repair / restoration as the transmission is not working properly. When plugged in and turned on the beaters labored to turn around and spin slowly at the same rate regardless of the power setting. It is also missing the Sunbeam decal and on looking very closely, I can find no trace or remnants of one. I have considered someone may have repainted it but there are no drips, the paint job is very smooth, and it matches the turntable perfectly. Also, the cord is a complete loss. Although it does work when plugged in, it is brittle and crumbling, has a replacement plug, and needs to be replaced for sure. Having said all that, the black handle marked Sunbeam Mixmaster, and speed control on the rear, and the front chromed grill are all in very good condition, as is the turntable. There and some minor nicks, scuffs, and scratches on the mixer but not many. There is some food residue here and there, mostly under the mixer, but in a few other places as well, but it is fairly light. The bottom of the stand is marked Sunbeam 3, without an A or B designation. Two beaters are included, and in all likelihood are original. read more
