VINTAGE “ADMIRAL” GOLD PLATED TOP WIND & SET OPEN FACED POCKET WATCH about 1930 A 7 Jewelled lever movement open faced watch. Working and keeping good time. The movement is also marked for the TACY Watch Co. Admiral Non Magnetic. Which was the amalgamation of Tavannes & Cyma at that period It has a jewelled cock over a compensated balance wheel. The case is gold plated and wear guaranteed for 10 years, because many years have passed one would expect heavy wear but the watch case looks super without any rubbing wear even to high points, not even on the winder or bow, just a few contact marks to the rear, so unless you were willing to admit to it being plated it looks as good as gold! Both the front bezel and the rear cover unscrew, I will supply the watch with these only partially tightened so that the buyer can examine the piece. It has a silvered dial with sunken sub seconds and a stylish circular engraving within the chapter ring. Has Arabic numerals and breguet poointers. The crystal shows little or no marks. The watch weighs a nice 62 grams, is a slim 11mm thick and is 45mm diameter excluding the bow. Feel free to ask any questions, I will do my best to reply.
