Vintage large hula nodder doll.At 10" tall she towers inches above the regular nodder doll. She is in remarkable condition, just a little fading at the top of her head in the dark hair and her skirt is a little threadbare. That's because it is made of raffia which is a natural substance and rather brittle. Nevertheless, she is a real beauty. Her body is in great shape and her lei is there and twisted in the traditional way. The red felt flowers in her hair is in good condition. And her face is perfect. The eyes are still incredibly bright and her mouth is as sensuous as the day she was painted 60 or 70 years ago. The hint of red cheeks is still there making her face glow with a warmth not seen very often in these bobble dolls. No markings on the bottom. She is a must have for a growing Hawaiiana collection.
