You are bidding on a Taxco Mexican sterling silver bracelet. This bracelet is designed, and signed by Gerardo Lopez. Gerardo lopez was a maestro silversmith in Taxco. This piece was produced sometime between 1950-1955. This is a hinged panel style bracelet, with a green stone inlay. Each panel has two diagonal inlay stones. T are 5 panels, one linked to another by cylinder shaped hinges. These panels measure 1 1/4 inches in length, and 7/8 inch wide. this bracelet has a wearable length of 7 inches. This will fit a wrist size up to 6 3/4 inches quite nicely. It will fit a 7 inch wrist Snug. The weight on this piece is a hefty 70 grams. This bracelet was made with a high silver purity of 980, which only the best pieces were. The thickness of this bracelet is 1/4 inch. The closure is quite unique, as it works in the same manner as a pins C-clasp. It connects to the bar, and then you slide the lever to lock it in place. Everything about this piece is truely remarkable. This bracelet is fully hallmarked as follows,...An oval with the words, Lopez Taxco ,under that is 980 , and under that reads, hecho en mexico , and an eagle #26 .
