Beautiful craftsmanship in this vintage necklace circa 1950's made by famous silversmith artisan Emma Melendez. Mark on back of pendant = Sterling 925 Heco En Taxco Mexico, Eagle with 3 inside - to left of Eagle is mark that looks like E but is worn. On first link of necklace near pendant is Mark = EMMA Taxco Sterling. Pendant 3" diameter has inlaid abalone and has native motif. Measures 26" total length including pendant and drop is 13". In great condition with some very slight scratches on link chain which has such a smooth feeling. Many artisans studied with Emma and Spratling. Some sign her name with theirs on their silver work. Wonderful sought after vintage piece of Taxco jewelry by famous artisan EMMA. T is a necklace now in eBay store for $650. Don't miss this beautiful necklace.
