This is a spade tip crimping tool used to repair telephone equipment manufactured at Western Electric's Baltimore Works Plant. It was a set of Utica needle nose pliers that was modified in the Tool Room to conform to Bell System standards. This item is from an old tool box that was owned by a repair operator who retired in the late 1970's. Box had been in storage since 1983.
