This auction is for a vintage 1925 Carnation milk glass bottle in the shape of a bowling pin. I believe this was a bottle used for home delivery of milk because it appears to have used one of those paper cap seals. It is in excellent condition for it's age with no chips or cracks and only minor fading of the bright red paint. Even the paint is intact (though slightly faded as mentioned). The glass has an almost pink opalescent hue to it rather than being plain clear glass. Around the sides of the bottle at the bottom it is printed One Quart Liquid with the number 2 centered under it on one side. On the other side is printed Sealed BB48 Registered. On the bottom is printed REG. TEXAS CARNATION with the number 17 with a diamond imposed over an O logo and the number 0 and Pat. (we think this is the patent number) 523480 and Mar , 25. T appears to be some kind of number after the Mar like a day of the month but we cannot decipher it. All things considered you can't go wrong adding this bottle to your collection because it is a remarkable piece. It measures 9-1/2" high x 3-3/4" in diameter at the bottom. Shipping will be $8.95.
