Vintage Thompson Selected Briar Estate Tobacco Pipe-Made In West Germany Up for auction is a beautiful vintage Thompson Selected Briar Estate Tobacco Pipe. The pipe is made in West Germany and is absolutely beautiful. The pipe has been smoked, but is still in excellent condition.On the left side of the bowl, when looking at it from the smoking position, "Thompson" is stamped, and on the right side, "Selected Briar" is stamped. On the underside, "Made In West Germany" is stamped. T he stem of the pipe is is showing only minimal wear at its tip. I have sterilized the mouthpiece of the stem and the teeth marks are hardly noticeable. The stem has no discoloration, and is looking great.The pipe has been smoked, but the bowl is still in excellent condition. As you can see, the bowl is showing no major damage of any kind-no nicks, dents or major repairs of any kind.
