This Good Luck encased farthing or ¼ penny has an aluminium type alloy surround and are more commonly found in the USA on old cent coins. This one advertises the Chelsea Hotel, Gloucester Street, Jersey and on the opposite side has the words “Keep Me and You Will Never Be Broke”. The token is in good all round condition but, as you would expect with an alloy surround, there are some scuff marks & wear. The coin & surround measure 3.8 cm (2 ¼ inches) in diameter. Second class postage within the UK by will be £3.00. Shipping to Europe by International Signed-For will be £8.20. International Signed-For to the rest of the world, except for Australasia, will be £8.80 whilst to Australia it will be £9.00. I apologise to overseas buyers for the postal costs involved but our newly privatised Royal Mail has increased its prices and we only charge the actual cost involved.
