This auction offering is for an old vintage signed Crown Trifari 1950's two strand necklace that has a lovely mixture of beads including: AB Carnival Glass faceted beads, blue crystal beads, AB medium blue glass beads, large multi faceted light blue plastic beads, AB blue faceted rondelles and silvertone bead caps. The Carnival Glass beads are also know as "peacock" or "oil on water" glass beads--colors are hints of purple, green and blue just like peacock's feathers. The necklace is strung on the original chain with the original rhinestone clasp that is signed on the back. LENGTH & DETAILS: The shortest strand measures end to end 15 long including the clasp and the longer strand measures just over 16 3/4" including the clasp. The clasp is silver tone metal set with clear rhinestones--it is the slide in style, works correctly and fastens easily and securely. The largest beads are the 8 light blue multi faceted plastic beads & they measure 11mm's. The rest of the beads in the necklace are glass and the largest of those measure about 10mm's--see photo with ruler to get a better idea of scale. The necklace is strung on silver tone chain. CONDITION: necklace is in very good vintage condition. The AB coating is in very good condition and any nibbles in the beads are minimal and not out of the ordinary for beads of this very old age.
