Very nice vintage 6 5/8" tall silver plated bud vase from a UNION PACIFIC RAILROAD OVERLAND ROUTE dining car. T is a faint stylized image of Union Pacific's classic logo of of a Indian Chief's head atop a streamlined engine to the right of the shield on the front. The base is marked: IS...INTERNATIONAL SILVER CO.....SILVER SOLDERED......U.P.R.R......05073....6 1/2 IN . The base is 3" in diameter.The piece is in very good condition for a used piece of railroad silver plate. T are numerous minor dings and scratches, but no worn spots in the plating. I believe that railroads and hotels DID HAVE ITEMS RE-PLATED WHEN THEY BECAME WORN and I don't know the history of this piece. I will be happy to answer any questions that you may have. I WILL NOT end an auction early or change it to BUY IT NOW . All items will be sent via Priority Mail with insurance. US buyers to pay the actual Priority Mail shipping and insurance cost. Foreign buyers to pay actual shipping and insurance cost. If shipped overseas I MUST REPORT THE ACTUAL SALE PRICE on the US Customs form to insure the item.
