Up for auction is a nice vintage Union brand steel camp hatchet axe with a stacked leather handle. The hatchet is in great condition with slight discoloration but no rust or pitting. There are also no engravings. The flat edge shows some slight mushrooming where it was uses as a hammer. The leather handle is in excellent condition. The hatchet is 11 inches long. 4 1/4 inches across the blade is 2 1/2 inches wide,The head is about 1/8 inch thick. It appears to have never have been sharpened. The word Union is on the hatchet by the handle. The belt sheath is in good condition with some staining and an abrasion on the strap. There is an embossed lake scene on the sheath.
