VINTAGE USAF STERLING MASTER MISSILE BADGE MISSILEMANNS MEYER For auction is a vintage USAF sterling silver Master Missile or Missileman badge for the service dress uniform shirt. The insignia itself measures approximately 2 1/4 inches in height. The badge is clearly marked on the rear NS Meyer New York 22M and sterling. When this insignia was produced the USAF had only one designation for missile operator and missile maintenance. Anyone assigned to missile operations, whether operator or maintenance, was authorized to w this insignia. The missile badge with the large wreath on either side for operator did not become regulation until 1988. This insignia in sterling and marked M22 on the rear is Vietnam War period.
