VINTAGE UZBEK DECORATION FOR WOMEN'S HAIR - PUPAK Uzbek national woman's attire have had many changes for the past two centuries. A lot of old-time traditional things have been preserved up to now and are still very popular among Uzbek women. Women in Samarkand and Tashkent wear such items like chemises, velvet vests, pants and kerchiefs. But t are such pieces of clothes that have lost their original purpose, and are not used any longer. They can only be found in museums or old peoples' houses. This item is an Uzbek women's decoration for hair called Pupak. The age of the item is the second part of the 20th century. The article was used for making a beautiful combination with dresses. It was fixed to hair of a maiden to decorate and add the length on holidays and family events, like weddings.
