This is a Vintage V52 Icon Telecaster-style electric guitar . You may know about the Icon range of Vintage's John Hornby Skewes-distributed range , but if you don't already...: Vintage make a cracking range of spanking new-looking, good quality reissue copies of well known guitar brands & styles. However, some of those are also reissued as their 'Icon' range or put another way, 'reliced' or 'distressed'. While companies like Fender charge thousands of dollars for guitars reliced in their Custom Shop, this is a (very good, imo) attempt to sell a 'relic' guitar at a more reasonable price. Check out the JHS site to see what I mean.Therefore, from new, this guitar was made to look as if it has been gigged all over the world and back, for two or three decades. Lots of wear, dings and well used metal parts In other words, it was "born battered"!Just take a look at the photos to see what I mean...I've had it from new, for just over a year and it is actually one of the better examples of the V52s I have seen, almost no rust on the bridge, etc rather more used than rusty.I have changed the Wilkinson pickups out and replaced them with a set of Tonerider Vintage Plus, much better pickups, nice & twangy!This guitar also comes with a new Fender padded gig bag free.** Before bidding please read this : This guitar is for collection only, as I have read more
