(The reflection of light on the foil has caused differentcolor variations in my photos. The true color is the hot pink as shown in my first photo.)The top is decorated with a cloth single bud and rosewith petals that are curled at the edges,green leaves, and a large pink satin bow trimmed with gold on its edges. Everything is in excellent condition, with no crushing, stains, fraying, dents, holesor musty odors. Embossed in gold at the tip of the heart are the words HoffmansLOS ANGELES, CALIF.NET ONE POUND The inside of the box bottom is very clean. The inside of the box top is very clean. The original wax paper liner is included. The back of the box is very clean.(Close-up photos of the words are shown below) Just look at it glow! This is a vintage, but still shiny, hot pink, foil covered, heart-shaped candy box that is very eye-catching. It has been stored in its original cardboard box for decades but continues to look wonderful. The flowers & bow on top, as well as the candy box, have been protected from crushing by the additional cardboard insert within the outer box. The heart measures 9 1/2" x 10 1/4" and originally held one pound of Hoffman's candy.My photos & descriptions indicate what a beautifully well-kept Valentine candy box this is. It is a bonus for any fussy collector, and an elegant item to load with tasty surprises and hand to your sweetheart on Valentine's Day. You'll get bonus points for your nostalgic thoughtfulness!
