You are bidding on a wonderful vintageVictorian dress/blouse & skirt made of cotton with lace accents and black velvet ribbon.. This dress is quite striking and has an extensive amount of handowrk done on the base, neck and arms. The woman who were this dress was very slender and probably a bit shorter, even if the skirt is lengthy. The size appears to be a small but an exact size would be difficult for me to assess.. The measurements of the blouse are 15.5" from shoulder to bottom of blouse, 14" from armpit to armpit, and 9" from armpit to bottom of blouse. The measurements of the skirt are 38" from waist to bottom of skirt, 10 1/2" for the waist when clasped. The inside of the blouse has a corset look to it and there are many hooks and latches all over. Although the neck appears to be missing somthing, there is a neck piece that wraps around and and another that covers any space going the other way. There is some discoloration on the neck (which is mostly hideen when clasped). I'm I believe the fabric is cotton with some lace along the neck and arms, and interwoven at the base. The dress is in great condition with for its age. I use the US Postal Service and use priority mail unless the package is very heavy and being shipped to the west coast or if the item is a heavy book.
