Vintage Randall Made Knife Model #15 "Airman" 5-1/2" Tool Steel Blade Double Brass Hilt Fingered Black Micarta Handle w/LanyardUnlined Lanyard Hole Riveted Johnson Roughback Sheath Two Tone Gray Sharpening Stone w/Yellow Print Combination Crystolon - Made in U.S. of A. Randall Made Knives Carry Case Excellent+++ Condition My summary: this is a vintage Vietnam Era Randall model 15 "Airman" and riveted Johnson roughback sheath for consideration. This is a really neat knife and sheath in great condition -- 's a detailed description of the package: probable late 1960's RMK model 15 with a 5.5" tool steel blade, double brass hilt, and a fingered black micarta handle with lanyard. The lanyard hole is unlined. The blade is in very good condition and exhibits only light insertion marks and very light spotting. The knife does not appear to have ever been shop cleaned -- the original grind lines at a slight angle and absolutely beautiful. (see photo 11) Interestingly, the knife has a false upper edge. (unsharpened) If the knife has been used, it was done so very sparingly. The same applies to sharpening: very lightly, correctly and carefully, if at all. The hilt has light handling only and a bit of tarnish. The fingered black micarta handle is in fine shape and exhibits only minor handling. T is some discoloration / carbon spotting along
