For auction: a very rare original 1971 - 1st souvenir Walt Disney World Magic Kingdom park map. It is in very good condition. As we all know the WDW Magic Kingdom park opened in Oct. of 1971. This map was purchased there on Nov. 2. 1971. This map has been treasured by the seller since he visited the park, at age 11. It is an original, not a reproduction. A rare true piece of WDW history, not many of these to be found! The map features opening day rides that have long been closed or retired, such as: 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea - Skyway - Mike Fink's Keelboats - Davy Crockett Canoe's - The Mickey Mouse Revue - Mr. Toads Wild Ride - America The Beautiful- and more. Some that are still in operation: Haunted Mansion - Jungle Cruise - Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse - Tom Sawyer Island - It's A Small World - Hall Of Presidents - Dumbo The Flying Elephant - Carousel - and more. It also features the original classic WDW & Magic Kingdom logo. The rare whimsical art work depicts the wonderful attractions that started it all!!! The map measures 25'' x 28''. There is a little marking on the attractions list, where the family marked some of the places they visited, and the date they were there - Nov. 2, 1971, all in lead pencil.
