BHR/ebonite (oxidized to brown on the barrel), gold-plated filigree with vine motif, indicia NOT engraved.Pierced gold filled overlay on barrel marked, "WATERMAN'S IDEAL FOUNTAIN PEN".Barrel end marked, "0314". Cap is marked, "PAT'D MAY 24.1899". L. E. Waterman's Ideal nib, not sure of size but looks like a "4".Length is 5 ¼ inches.Slip-cap, no clip.Please see photos. Not really a "pen person" though I do enjoy the research.FAST handling!
