Superb find, 1953 edition of Webster's Students Dictionary. Most pages of this beautiful reference book contain small illustrations to go along with the word descriptions. There are also several full page color book plates. There is a book plate for costumes, working dogs, birds, minerals, flags, insects, & wild flowers of America. 1001 pages.Copyright 1938, reprinted with new matter copyright 1953, by G. & C. Merriam Co. (Merriam Webster)In very good vintage condition with some obvious signs of wear. The corners and edges are bumped and rubbed, especially on the front lower right hand corner. There is a previous owners name written inside the front cover. The pages are in vintage condition with occasional soiling and creasing.
