Vintage Weller Pottery double handled vase in the Wild Rose pattern. Weller Pottery produced the Wild Rose line in the early to mid 1930s. The pattern features embossed pink roses with leaves and twigs on a matte peach and green glaze. The piece has the maker's mark on the bottom along with the artist initials. It is in excellent vintage condition with no apparent defects. Dimensions: 9.5" x 5.75".Weller Pottery was founded by Samuel Weller in Fultonham, Ohio, United States in 1872 in a log cabin. As demand grew for his crocks, flower pots, and vases, in 1882, Weller moved the pottery to Zanesville, Ohio. It was a uniquely American pottery, with artists inspired by Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Arts and Crafts, and the numerous potteries in the area. The Pottery closed in 1948 and left behind a treasury of ceramic art.
