For sale is an example of a Western States first model 1934-1942 which uses a thumbscrew in place of the lever interchangeable handle. The handle is in tough shape. The guard is loose the thumb nob is broken off. The spring is missing and someone went solder crazy on this handle at one time. Use for parts or make it work for your project.
