For sale is an example of a Western States second model made 1947-1957 knife with interchangeable handle. The handle has pounding marks on the bottom of the pommel and the knife is excellent shape with much of the blade gone from sharpening. The knife says Western Boulder Colo. Patented Made in U.S.A. on the tang. The hatchet is a newer Western Hatchet U.S.A. W10 K on the tang and has been cut to fit the handle. The hatchet is not a perfect fit but would work. The hatchet has not been finished but could have an edge put on and polished to your liking.
