Vintage Westmoreland glass hand painted cherries milk glass cookie jar.The cookie jar is 71/2" tall. It is 51/2" across the top. Handle to handle measures 8". It is heavy and weighs 41/2#.The hand painted design of red cherries, green leaves and brown stems is very distinct and vivid and the same on both sides. The milk glass is heavy and brilliant white.There is an original sticker on the lid. There is a WG on the bottom and on the inside of the lid.The cookie jar was never used. There are no chips, cracks or scratches.We live about 5 miles from Grapeville, Pa. where the Westmoreland Glass factory was located before it closed in the mid 80's.We buy are merchandise from people who worked for Westmoreland Glass and their descendants.Thanks for looking:)
