VINTAGE WHITE LINEN GUEST TOWEL HAND-EMB CLUNY EDGE Have a browse through these charming vintage (and some recent) fingertip guest or bathroom towels which will add that touch of nostalgia to your decor. Before towels were made of terry towel and fluffy, these were used back in the 1940's and '50's. Nowadays they are more of a decorative item accompanying a basket of scented soaps and body lotions! Some are so beautifully hand-embroidered that it's hard to imagine using them! I have quite a variety of them...linen, cotton, a mix of fibers, some Damask and that wonderful huckabuck material! Some plain; others hand-embroidered or machine embellished! All have been hand-washed and pressed and anything untoward about them will be mentioned....they are fresh, clean and ready to use or give as gifts! Think about combining a few (different colours for separate guest bedrooms or bathrooms) for a postage savings! DESCRIPTION 's a fine linen snowy white vintage guest or bathroom fingertip towel....pretty hand-embroidery which is quite detailed and consisting of drawnthread work, heavily padded satin stitches, little lace insets in the large flower......has a gorgeous edge of Cluny lace on one end; the other end is drawnthread! SIZE & CONDITION Measures approximately 20" by 15". In excellent vintage condition, been hand-washed and pressed. read more
