This auction is for the remaining three of a set of seven Wilkinson Pall Mall Straight Cut Razors complete with case. This set of razors belonged to my grandfather; he worked for Austin Reeds of Regent Street in London before the start of the Second World War. These razors are very old, the four missing from the set had over the passage of time been replaced by German and French brands (these will be sold seperatly at auction on a later date). The razors and box have been stored away for the last sixty years or so. As I am no expert on vintage razors, I have tried to show through photographs the condition of these items, so please look very closely before bidding on them. On one of the razors the scales show some damage towards the pin and a little lower down, the scales on the other two appear to have no damage. The point, spine and cutting edge on the blades look quite reasonable but a little marked with age. All three razors have WilkinsonSpecial etched on the blade and Wilkinson Pall Mall on the shaft. On the spine there can be found the day of the week in gothic letters, in this instance there is a blade for Saturday, Sunday and Monday.It appears the case is leatherclad.
