PLEASE READ THIS VERY CAREFULLY!I came across this vintage marionette puppet at an estate sale where I was told that it was created by a "famous" local artist. To my dismay, they couldn't remember who that artist was. Once I started looking at the unique character of this piece, I fell in love with it knowing that someone out there will think it very special as well. Unfortunately, the strings were in such a tangle that I had to clip them. The winning bidder will have to reassemble the puppet (attached the limbs, torso, head, etc.) and then re-attached the strings to the controller. All of the strings are there. The bottom lip will need to be reattached to the jaw since the leather pieces formally holding the lips together is worn out. There is also a crows feather headdress that will need to be reconstructed. For the puppet collector, I'm sure the work involved will pay off. This is truly one of a kind.The puppet stands approximately 17" tall from head to toe.
