Some of the items that I'll be selling over the next few months are from the collection of Emily Visher, a long time member of the Bay Area Thimble Society (BATS). Emily is no longer with us but her family would like her thimbles to be cherished by others as much as they were by Emily. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I believe this wooden sewing kit dates to World War II but am not positive. It is bomb shaped with a metal tip and a very surprised looking lady on the front. When you open the kit t are 5 spools with thread still on them and a metal thimble. The thimble rests on a thread cutter and needle holder. T is a metal ring around the top of the spools that has an opening in it to allow you to remove whichever spool you need. The case measures 3-1/2" tall by almost 1-1/2" wide. Stamped on the bottom is "ENCO NO 5" and some other words that I cannot make out. It is in excellent condition and the color is still very good. An invoice will be sent at the end of the auction and payment is required within 7 days of auction end. Only PayPal payments can be accepted. USA SHIPPING is a flat $3.00 for USPS First Class Mail, which includes Delivery Confirmation. Insurance, if requested, is extra and will be based on the selling price. INTERNATIONAL
