A fantastic old rum barrel. Puerto Rico, Ron De Borrilito P.F. This size and age is very rare to find. The barrel measures 10 1/2" long, to the end of the sticker is 12" long. It is 5 1/2" wide at the ends. It looks to have had 6 metal rings at one time, but now only has one. The cork is intact. There is a crack that runs the length of the barrel. Even though it has the crack, the wood does not move of you press to try to close the crack and it isn't pulling apart anymore. Very solid. On the back end, the wood is cracked or splintering. Looks like a later of plywood that has bowed and started to splinter, but not deep at all. Overall a great rare piece of rum history.
